Me 109 G-14 WNr. 462707 "Schwarze <2" 14./JG 300 "Wilde Sau"
This Me 109 G-14 WNr. 462707 "Schwarze <2" 14./JG 300 was flown by Ofhr. Karl-Heinz Schirmacher when it got shot down by the gunners of B-17 bombers which were under attack by Schirmacher. The remains of the aircraft were recovered in 1997. A dataplate and some components of the wooden tail (tall version) were used in order to rebuild the vertical fin.
The aircraft is now almost complete. The wings still need some work. We expect the aircraft to be ready by the end of December. The restoration was carried out by SANDY AIR CORP.
